What are the Five Principles?

The Five Principles have been a tremendously positive and guiding force in my life and in the lives of many others. They align us with the highest and best within each of us—and that changes the way we experience our lives.

The Five Principles offer a pathway for functioning at our best, regardless of race, gender, religion, class, or personality type. They work in relationships, in business settings, and in families. Because they align us with many positive behaviors, qualities, and time-honored virtues, they fit easily into most religious and spiritual paradigms. The Principles are consistent with a Christian emphasis on living a loving life, Buddhist principles of detachment, Hindu principles of honoring the sacredness of life, and an Islamic and Judaic emphasis on serving God.

If you suffer from anxiety or depression, utilizing them will help you to gain control over those debilitating emotions. If you find yourself worrying excessively over things you can’t control or if you lose your temper more quickly than you would like, using these principles will help you to make positive changes. If you know yourself to be controlling, judgmental, or unhappy, they will bring you much-needed relief.
